When I first met AJ, she had a very wry sense of humor and was obviously very intelligent. We ended up spending a lot of time together. She would stay at my place when she was working in LA and we became great pals to the point where we would actually have “spats”.
I remember one row in particular where my assistant said to me: “Wow it’s like having a girlfriend - without the sex!”
Once while driving in my car on the freeway, she was talking… AND TALKING about something while my mind was in another place. Exasperated she said: “Are you listening to me?” I said “AJ if I always listened to your every word, I wouldn’t even have enough time for a single thought.” She laughed.
She was educated, opinionated and I believe always trying to look out for my better interests.
We stayed in touch for quite a few years, but then she disappeared. I hope she is well.
